About this project
We tore the kitchen out completely, leveled the concrete floor, and installed an uncoupling membrane under the new tile. The tile finishes flush with the existing hardwood in the rooms next to it, so there's no lip or transition strip between rooms.
To fit a full-size Sub-Zero freezer and a full-size refrigerator, we took out part of the wall to the garage and poured a new slab in the garage to carry them. Both units sit flush with the kitchen wall.
The existing cabinets were sanded and repainted. Our crew did the tear-out, tile, drywall, paint, and finish work. The only thing we brought someone in for was the electrical upgrade.
