About this project
Before this house, the property was home to the family's barn, and it's a piece of land the family holds dear. The new home is built to take in the oaks and the view of Mount Konocti.
The house was designed by local designer Vince Price, and Kelseyville designer and architect Katarina Bradley is working with the clients on all of the finishes. Everything in it is custom.
It sits on a 6-inch, 3,500 psi slab with 2-by-2-foot footings. The great room and foyer have 14-foot plate heights under vaulted, clear vertical-grain hemlock ceilings, and the back rooms have 9-foot plates. Steel shear wall panels at the big openings let the window walls stay wide open.
The windows are Marvin Ultimate. The great room gets a plaster finish, and every other room gets a Level 5 drywall finish. There's an EV charger at the driveway.
